Who I am…
“I would rather die of passion than boredom.”
-Vincent Van Gogh
A religious practice is defined as “The rituals, ceremonies, and daily activities that individuals perform as an expression of their faith.” (google definition)
I left my “place” of worship. But in leaving that, I found what it was to truly understand feeling an all-consuming faith.
A faith that what you are looking for or trying to understand, is at the tip of your fingers. I have found faith is an undeniable ability to see beauty through the lens of something inexplicable.
“Beauty is in the eye of the creator.”
Passion and faith are so intrinsically intertwined, it is hard not to be emotional when a piece of someone’s faith, and passion, is in front you.
All that to say, my work is a small piece of who I am. It is the moments of life that I have found to be the most precious to me. Scenes of colossal hills and mountains covered in fog and rain. Landscapes of the desert, ocean, homes, and the river I have lived on my whole life. That has translated into my work, and I own what I create, but I do not own the creation it comes from. What I see through my lens is as free as the bald eagle flying over canyons and rivers we call home.
My passion. My faith. My work.
My home is on the western slope of Colorado stretching south in the deserts and west to the ocean. I hope to help you display your home and what is most precious to you.
